So far, we have a ton of things taken care of already. I guess since the wedding is... 118 days away, we should! :)
The ceremony will be held at our church, Midland Baptist, and we're going to have 3 different preachers. I know, that sounds crazy, but my father, and two other men were stationed together in Turkey about four years before I was even born, and they have been close friends ever since. Uncle Willie and his family and Uncle Jim and his family have been very key people in my life, and it has been my dream for years to have all three of them take part in my wedding. So, Uncle Willie and Uncle Jim will take part, and Dad will do the actual vows.
There are a few different ladies in our church that I am almostly entirely entrustng the decorating to, so I won't have to stress about any of that. It is so good to have sucha great church family you can count on!!
The reception is going to be a little different than any I've ever been to. It's actually going to be at our local baseball stadium. I'm sure you're thinking that that doesn't sound very classy wedding style, but the stadium has a beautiful suite area around the feild. The reception is actually going to be in the suite lobby. It has a stone finished fireplace in the middle and the rest of the room wraps around it. The coordinator and caterer were both incredibly helpful, and the food they prepared for the tasting was excellent. I'm so excited because it's such a nice lay out and by having it there, my and Andrew's familes won't be stuck doing a bunch of set up, preparations and expecially clean up. I'm all for as much delegating as possible. :)
